Expands out to 4 1/2” to gain extra clearance to accommodate an internal cord; reinforced hinge withstands 40 lbs. stress test. Expansive opening for heavy gauge cord use. Meets and exceeds requirements for Extra Duty per 2011 NEC article 406.9(B); UL514D and CSA 22.2 No. 42.1-00. NEMA 3R compliant, cULus approved.
